Oleinza cosmetic-grade virgin sweet almond oil is obtained by mechanical expeller extraction from the ripe kernels of Prunus dulcis (Miller) D.A. Webb. The feedstock is Australian-grown non-food grade almonds sourced from the Riverina and Sunraysia regions of NSW and Victoria.
The almonds are pre-screened, conditioned, then pressed using a dedicated expeller system at an optimised temperature. The crude oil is then settled and filtered to remove particulates, producing a golden, clear oil with a characteristic sweet, nutty aroma.
Process scope for almond oil: mechanical expeller pressing followed by settling and filtration only. No solvent extraction, no degumming, no chemical neutralisation, no bleaching, and no deodorisation are applied to the almond oil product line. The Oleinza facility processes other oilseeds (including canola) where degumming may be applied under separate process controls and equipment cleaning protocols — this does not affect the almond oil product.
Every released batch is supported by a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis. Independent laboratory testing is performed for the parameters listed in this specification.
